Librarians at the Savitt Medical Library and the Knowledge Center can assist with planning reviews and can advise on search strategies and reporting for systematic reviews and other types of research reviews. To learn more about using Covidence for conducting systematic reviews at the University of Nevada, Reno, please visit our Covidence guide or request training at UNR Libraries systematic review email to request individual or group instruction.
You can create your personal sign-in information with Covidence before or after joining the institutional subscription. To request access to the institutional account in Covidence, you must use your current UNR Med or UNR email address (@med.unr.edu or @unr.edu or @nevada.unr.edu) as described below.
Send an email request to the UNR Libraries systematic review email address at firstname.lastname@example.org. In the email, please include your department and status (student, resident, fellow, staff, or faculty).
An invitation will be generated and sent from Covidence.
Accept the invitation in your email.
Log in to your existing Covidence account or sign up for a new account.
If you have already joined the UNR Covidence account, then you can log into Covidence with your email and password and proceed to use Covidence.
Creating a review using the UNR unlimited license
After clicking the link “Create new review” you will have the option to use your personal account license or select the UNR Med account. After you create a review in Covidence, you can invite others to join your project.
Reviews created under the institutional license will be visible to the Covidence administrators at the Savitt Medical Library and the Knowledge Center. Your personal account review(s) will only be seen by you.
Once you have created a review or accepted an invitation to another UNR account review, the title will appear in a separate section on your account homepage:
